Time is of the Essence

The sooner you tell us about a claim, the sooner we can help; so please call us on 0151 473 8080 or e-mail tradeclaims@nmu.co.uk as soon as possible.

We can then give advice about what to do and about the information and documentation that we will need to progress the claim.

Our team takes a proactive approach to the management of claims and provides a quality, professional and efficient claims service with the aim of being able to pay valid claims promptly and treat customers fairly at all times

Policyholders should:

  • Immediately notify us of any event which may result in a claim under the Policy
  • Not admit liability without approval from us
  • Inform the police, if appropriate (in the case of theft for example)

24 Hour Emergency Claims Line

In the event of any serious loss or damage outside of our normal business hours, we have a dedicated Chartered Loss Adjuster, Crawford (UK) Limited, who will assist you. For events that may give rise to a claim under a Marine Trade policy which are outside of our normal business hours (9am-5pm Monday to Friday), please contact:
