Giving brokers the confidence to sell cyber insurance

With the majority of brokers (78%) citing cyber as an area of growth, it’s staggering to see such a large percentage (38%) admit they haven’t yet sold a cyber policy.

As reported by Insurance Post, the research conducted revealed the industry’s desire for more training surrounding cyber insurance. When considering a recent report which shows around 60% of UK SMEs (140,000 businesses) suffered some form of cyber-attack in 2018 alone, it becomes clear that many businesses lack adequate levels of cyber protection.

One of the greatest hurdles that brokers face moving forwards is not only educating clients about the threat cyber-attacks pose but relaying the importance of purchasing cover which suits their specific needs.
