NMU expand sales and development team

NMU are delighted to announce the appointment of Robbie Farrington, as a Development Underwriter.

Having been in the industry nearly 20 years, Robbie started his career as a broker then moved into Underwriting with Bluefin Underwriting (now Victor Insurance), heading up their Marine Team as Marine Manager for nearly 10 years. Robbie specialises in underwriting cargo and Freight liability risks but also has a background in Liability and Motor insurance.

“I’m excited by the new challenge and looking forward to getting on board with what is already a great team.”

Robbie will focus particularly, but not exclusively, on supporting brokers based in the Home Counties and East Anglia regions, and whilst his specialism remains cargo insurance and freight liability, he will also be encouraging broker access to the rest of NMU’s specialty range of products and services.

Commenting on the appointment, NMU Sales and Development Manager, Nick Green, said “I’m delighted that we are able to attract such a high calibre and widely respected individual as Robbie. There has always been a mutual desire to make this move happen and, following the recent re-shaping of our business, the timing has never been better.”

Robbie added “NMU have always been a company I’ve enjoyed trading with. I’m excited by the new challenge and looking forward to getting on board with what is already a great team.”

Concluding, Nick said “Robbie will be an excellent addition to the current sales & development team and brings an extensive range of skills and experience. He also shares our core traditional values and desire to preserve a strong reputation for exceptional service, expertise, innovation and flexibility.”
